I know I owe an explanation to you all with regards to my 4 month disappearance... I promise I will explain myself, but in the meantime check out my friend's blog The Jaded Tourist.
I was flattered when she asked me to do a guest post on my dining experience at Tetsuya's.
I've always loved to bake... even as a little girl I was always in the kitchen baking. I find there is something so therapeutic about it. It involves all of your senses, and best of all the end result is so satisfying!! Cooking is something I added to my repertoire when I turned my back on baking… all that butter, sugar and cream got the better of me. Even though my passion is spending time in the kitchen, collecting cookbooks and subscribing to cooking magazines I never really thought about pursuing it as a career. I have a double degree in Business and Arts and spent too many years in the corporate world trying to achieve something that I knew deep down wasn’t me. Now that I am older and wiser, I jumped at the opportunity to run my own restaurant in the burbs of Sydney… I am surrounded by food all day every day, I couldn’t imagine being confined to an office cubicle ever again!! Who knew detours in life could take you on a journey you never imagined possible. In the words of Virginia Wolf “One cannot think well, love well, sleep well, if one has not dined well.” So enjoy~
